Related Conditions

In addition to vaginismus, vulvovaginal health may be compromised by any of the following related conditions, all of which being quite common:

Dyspareunia - painful sexual intercourse, causing marked distress and interpersonal difficulties

Vulvodynia - burning, itching, pain in the vulva; exam will be normal; no apparent cause

Vulvar Vesibulitis - abnormal sensation in the vulvar vestibule (at the vaginal opening)

Sexual Health - sexual dysfunction, female sexuality, sexual expectations vs. reality

Radiation & Vaginal Health - perineal and vaginal care before/during/after pelvic radiation
