Financial information about the 2-week program

The following are answers to commonly asked questions about our program:

The cost of the program is not posted so as to avoid outdated information so please contact us for current prices. All fees are in US Dollars.

The cost of the program includes unlimited treatment hours as per individual needs, 24 hour phone/email support, supplies, support for partner (when applicable), and every therapeutic intervention that is needed to resolve the vaginismus. It is an intense program that is specifically tailored (personalized) to meet the needs and abilities of the patient. The cost of the program also includes follow-up contact by the patient after discharge, i.e. questions about pregnancy and childbirth, sex education, referrals to specialists, healthcare advice, etc.

The security deposit (10%) that is required to hold the booking is a part of the total cost of the program. The balance of the money is due at time of treatment (payment schedule is included in the Contract that you will receive upon booking).

Check with your health insurance provider as to their reimbursement rate. The key element is whether you have out-of-network benefits (i.e. can go to any doctor you want) or Managed Care/HMO that locks you to using their providers only (we are not participating providers with any plan).

Travel insurance (for clients from outside of the USA) rarely covers this treatment because a) it is an existing condition, and b) it is not an emergency situation.

We accept the following modes of payment: cash, bank checks, certified checks, wire transfer, travelers' checks, and all major credit cards (subject to a 3% processing fee).

For some, the cost of the program does not pose a financial concern. For others, it may make it prohibitive. The following are creative ways that past patients with limited funds used to afford the treatment (these are true accounts as told us first hand):

  • Book months in advance and use the time in between to save money.
  • Approach a family member, typically the mother/grandmother, tell them about the vaginismus (a medical condition that needs help!) and ask for financial assistance, a loan, etc.
  • Pay for the program by credit card, and then make monthly payments to the account.
  • Take a medical loan.
  • Take a part-time job to supplement income.
  • Take out a second mortgage on your house, or a Home Equity loan.
  • Use money in Medical Flex Spending account.
  • Share the cost with the boyfriend/partner.

Travel and lodging are not included in the cost of the treatment. Most of the local hotels have a special price for our clients, ranging from $100 to $170 per day, depending on your preference. We provide the listing at time of booking, as well as a link to a reduced-rate (but reliable!) car rental agency. We are located in the suburbs, not in Manhattan (New York City) yet are only a 50-minute train ride there!
