About frequent UTIs, and about a new fertility app

Our post this week on MissMuslim is titled, I keep Getting UTIs, a common question voiced by many women.   It includes tips for management once your doctor has treated the infection.

On another topic, some of you may be curious to learn that the FDA approved marketing for the Natural Cycles app, which “bills itself as a contraception app leaning on fertility awareness, where a woman tracks the days when she is fertile based on body temperature readings and the timing of her menstrual cycle.”  Still, according to the FDA, “women should know that no form of contraception works perfectly, so an unplanned pregnancy could still result from correct usage of this device.” The new app “is a form of contraception called fertility awareness.”
